The customer came across a problem in his work as he realized the capacity of his machine could not meet market needs. To improve competitiveness and attract new customers, he needed a faster and technologically better papermaking machine that could produce paper of the highest quality. Buying a new machine would incur excessive costs. The most economical solution to the customer's problem was to reconstruct the existing paper machine, which he entrusted to Voith, while we took charge of the disassembly of the old and installation of the new equipment under their supervision. However, we were faced with the ever-present problem in the paper industry – a very tight implementation deadline: only 10 days to do the job.

In the project of reconstruction, we were selected as the main contractors for the disassembly of the old and the installation of the new equipment supplied by Voith from Germany. We helped the customer solve his problem by taking part in the negotiations about the reconstruction and suggested the best solutions based on our long-standing experience in the paper industry. We prepared a detailed time plan for the work process and stuck to it. We manufactured the load-bearing constructions, installed additional drying cylinders, replaced the drive units and aligned the machine using a laser system.

Being used to working with the paper industry, which calls for quick reaction times and efficient work, and owing to our experience, professional approach and adherence to the planned time frame, we managed to complete the paper machine reconstruction within the agreed time. The customer realised that even such a challenging project as reconstruction can be performed quickly and with quality if experienced contractors are selected.
